Any individual will first try to go for self-care at home, which for back pain includes heat, ice and some exercise. Even some OTC (Over-the-counter) NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs) comes in handy and can give you relief for a while. But remember, the pain medication only stops the pain temporarily, it doesn’t cure the injury, if you overdo stuff under the effect of pain medication, you can actually make your injury worse.
