Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to working with people to identify and maximize their ability to move and function throughout their lifespan.

Specifically, physiotherapists improve clients’ quality of life by:

  • Promoting optimal mobility, physical activity and overall health and wellness;
  • Preventing disease, injury, and disability;
  • Managing acute and chronic conditions, activity limitations, and participation restrictions;
  • Improving and maintaining optimal functional independence and physical performance;
  • Rehabilitating injury and the effects of disease or disability with therapeutic exercise programs and other interventions; and
  • Educating and planning maintenance and support programs to prevent re-occurrence, re-injury or functional decline.

Physiotherapy is anchored in movement sciences and aims to enhance or restore function of multiple body systems. The profession is committed to health, lifestyle and quality of life. This holistic approach incorporates a broad range of physical and physiological therapeutic interventions and aids.

Physiotherapy services are those that are performed by physiotherapists or any other trained individuals working under a physiotherapist’s direction and supervision.

In most case Physiotherapy treatment is not covered by OHIP; However cost of Physiotherapy is usually cover by Extended Health care insurance. If you don’t have health benefits don’t worry we offer great discount to patients who is not covered by health benefits.

You do not require doctor’s prescription to see Physiotherapist but some insurance company may require it for reimbursement purpose.

 

Your first appointment will take 60-70 minutes for initial intake, detailed assessment and provision of treatment. Following your initial examination on day-one, our physiotherapist will be able to give you an estimate regarding the amount of time it will take to see full recovery. Healing Touch Rehabilitation sets a record for a much faster recovery time than most other clinics. On an average most of our clients need about 8-10 sessions at Healing Touch Rehabilitation Centre.

Yes! Our expert qualified administrative team will perform all required task to submit your billing paperwork. Few insurance companies allow Physiotherapist to do direct billing; please call us to help you for any billing inquiry at 905.201.7022.

We accept patients who do not have insurance benefit from work. Our charges are very reasonable. Please call to get details about any ongoing promotional packages and our charges. 

As per requirement of College of Physiotherapist.  All patients treatment charts are kept in locked cabinets and your written authorization is required before we can release information to any third party.

Recovery varies from patient to patient. At the time of discharge patient is provided consultation as well as home exercise program in some cases to prevent future recurrence. Most of our patients are 90-100% recovered (compare to when they initial started their treatment) before we discharge them.
